User management

Invite teammates, assign roles, and control who can do what.

The User Management page lets owners and admins invite teammates, manage their roles, and remove access when needed.

Roles

NectarPay has three roles, each with different permissions:

Role

Can do

Owner

Everything, including billing and plan changes. Each account has one owner.

Admin

Manage users, locations, terminals, catalog, payments, payment links, kiosks, reports. Can't change billing.

Staff

Create and process payments, generate reports. Limited access to settings.

Some pages and features require an admin or owner role:

  • User management

  • Account settings (Stripe, plans, printers)

  • Scheduled Reports and Inventory Log (within Reports)

  • Terminal forms (create/update)

  • Receipt printer assignments

Note: Staff users can access the Reports page and generate payment, purchase, and returns reports. The Scheduled Reports and Inventory Log sections are restricted to owners and admins.

Invite a user

  1. In the side navigation, choose Users.

  2. Choose Invite User.

  3. Enter the user's Full Name, Email, and Role.

  4. Send the invite.

The invitee receives an email with a link to accept. After accepting, they can sign in and choose their password.

Resend or revoke an invite

From the user list, find users in Invited status:

  • Reinvite — resend the invitation email.

  • Delete — cancel the invite. The link no longer works.

Edit, deactivate, or delete a user

For active users, choose:

  • Edit User to change the name or role.

  • Edit Nickname to update how the user appears in the app.

  • Deactivate to suspend access without deleting the account. NectarPay confirms with "The user was successfully deactivated".

  • Activate to restore a deactivated user.

  • Delete User to remove the account permanently. This action can't be undone.

Multiple accounts

A single email can belong to more than one NectarPay account. Use Switch Account in the top-right menu to move between them. The selected account drives every page in the app.
