This guide walks you through everything you need to start accepting payments with NectarPay.
Prerequisites
- A business email address.
- A Stripe account (or willingness to create one during onboarding).
- At least one supported card reader, such as the BBPOS WisePOS E. See Order a terminal.
1. Create your account
- Go to the NectarPay sign-up page and select Create Account.
- Enter your full name, business email, password, company name, and country.
- Agree to the Terms of Use and choose Get Started.
- Open the verification email NectarPay sends you and follow the link to confirm your address.
Tip: The verification link expires after 24 hours. If it expires, sign in and choose Resend to get a new email.
2. Complete account setup
After you sign in for the first time, NectarPay walks you through Stripe onboarding so you can accept payments.
- From Account Setup, choose Stripe Onboarding and complete the steps Stripe requires.
- Return to NectarPay. Your account status updates to Active as soon as Stripe enables charges and payouts.
You can revisit Stripe onboarding any time from Account → Stripe Account.
3. Add a location
Locations represent the physical places where you operate. Every reader is linked to one.
- In the side navigation, open Locations.
- Choose Add Location, enter a name and address, and save.
- Optionally configure tipping and a custom splash screen for the location's readers. See Locations.
4. Add a terminal
- From your new location, choose Add Terminal.
- On the WisePOS E reader, swipe right from the left edge of the screen, tap Settings, enter the admin PIN, and generate a registration code.
- In NectarPay, enter the Registration Code and a Terminal Name, then save.
The reader pairs with your account and appears under the location.
5. Send your first payment
- Open Payments and choose Create Payment.
- Select a location and terminal (or pick a favorite), and enter the amount.
- Optionally attach a customer, receipt email, and printer.
- Choose Send Payment to Terminal. The customer taps, inserts, or swipes their card on the reader.
- Watch the timeline update as the payment succeeds, and email or print the receipt.
Success: You're live. Process more payments, share a payment link, or set up a kiosk.
