Kiosk overview

Let customers browse your catalog and pay themselves at an unattended kiosk.

The NectarPay Kiosk turns a tablet (or any browser) into a self-serve ordering station. Customers browse your catalog, build a cart, and pay at a paired terminal — without needing a staff member to ring them up.

Note: The kiosk is available on the Lite plan.

How a kiosk session works

  1. Touch to start — when idle, the kiosk displays a splash screen. The customer taps to begin.
  2. Browse the catalog — products are organized by product group, with optional category filtering by tag.
  3. Build a cart — the customer adds variants and adjusts quantities.
  4. Checkout — the customer reviews the order, picks a receipt option, and starts payment.
  5. Pay at the terminal — the kiosk sends the payment to its paired WisePOS E reader.
  6. Success — the kiosk confirms the payment, prints or emails the receipt, and returns to the splash screen.

What's included

  • Public kiosk URL — bookmarkable on the device, with PIN-protected unlock.
  • Optional install as a PWA — install the kiosk app on a tablet for a full-screen experience.
  • Idle reset — automatic return to the splash screen after a configurable timeout.
  • Inventory aware — out-of-stock items are hidden or disabled.
  • Receipt options — print, email, both, or none.
  • Barcode scanning — customers (or staff) can scan product QR codes to add items.
