Scanner

Scan QR codes to add products to a payment cart.

The Scanner lets you and your team add catalog items to a transaction by scanning a product QR code with the device's camera. Pair it with generated product QR codes to speed up checkout.

Note: The scanner is available on the Lite plan for users with access to scanner and catalog workflows.

Open the scanner

  1. In the side navigation, choose Scanner.
  2. The first time you use it, NectarPay asks for camera permission. Choose Request Permission and allow access in your browser.
  3. Choose Start Scan to activate the camera.

If your browser blocks the camera, you'll see "Camera access is required". Update your browser's site settings and reload the page.

Scan a product

  1. Hold a printed product QR code in front of the camera.
  2. NectarPay shows Product found and adds it to the cart.
  3. Continue scanning to add more items, or choose Stop Scan when you're done.

If a scanned product has multiple prices, NectarPay prompts you with "Select a price for {product}". You can also choose:

  • Auto-select default price — automatically add the product at its default price.
  • Manually select price — pick the price every time.

Inventory and the scanner

If the scanned product is out of stock, NectarPay shows Product out of stock and skips the addition. If the product no longer exists, you'll see Product not found.

Generate product QR codes

From a product or product group detail page, choose Print QR Codes to generate a printable sheet of codes.

NectarPay confirms with "Product QR codes generated successfully" once the file is ready.
